  2. Bugfix: Corrected placement of Zip code and State fields in export.

How to Download Version 1.2.2
You can download this new version by clicking here. You will be taken to my downloads page where you can select the new 1.2.2 version.

Upgrading from version 1.2.1

If you are upgrading from version 1.2.1 all you have to upload is the following file:

Your ZC Export to CVS is really great. I have one problem though. I need the Attributes to be in their own field as these get exported to a Mail Merge Word Doc and I have no way to parse the fields/data as it is contained in one field. Any suggestions or help? Too, I have tried the export from MySQL/MyPHP but since I get multiple records for each product it is no good. Again any help or suggestions appreciated. I will buy one of your books upon a fix….. *smile*

The original version had each attribute in individual columns, but that didn’t work well because the resulting export file had an indifferent number of columns which made it virtually impossible to import into anything else (as the standards were messed up).

So that idea went out the window early on, and in place of it was the concept of adding it all to one row, but delimiting it with a “pipe” [ | ].

That allows those who need to have each item separated out to use the pipe in that last field to determine where to make your breaks. It also allows the rest to not have the imports thrown off by mis matching column numbers from record to record.

If you want to get one order per row, you have to select that option before export. If you want 1 product per row, you need to select that. You may want to take a look at the read me file for more information.

In short, you have the option to export either one product per row, or one order per row from within the admin. Just make sure you choose the one that fits your needs.

Is there a way to export the customers name in two columns (First and Last Name)? The other setting I would like to change would be to change the state to the two letter abbreviation. Is that possible without to much work? I import all of my orders into paypal multiorder shipping and that would make it seemless.

    Thanks
    Mike

In the most current version, there is no way to export them as separate fields. However, I can incorporate this into the next major release (being worked on).

Your solution sounds intriguing. I will try it however…

What is needed is a module for Super Orders that will truly allow batch label printing. Currently it seems you can only print one label per page, quite a waste of paper. The best solution would be for a module that would allow admin to input an Avery # & everything would be taken care of!

You may want to get in contact with the original developer of the Super Orders module and see if they are willing to integrate that type of functionality into it. Since I have not developed it, I am not sure how tough it would be.

I’ve had a number of questions asking how to re-export information that has already been exported. The next version 1.2.3 addresses this from within the Admin.

The current (and past) versions did not address this.

To re-export information on older version (1.2.2 and prior) follow the instructions at the following post:

Mike Stevenson hit the nail on the head! Excellent tool! Just need the Firt and Last Name seperated into seperate feilds. Point Sale, CRM, Fullfilment House software require it for import.

At first … Thank you for this great tool !
Second … wanted to ask – will there be (some day in maybe not infinitaly distant future) way to export only “selected” rows ? I’d find it the last feature that I miss :)
Anyway, keep up good work, your posts are really interresting reading

Great module. I’m eagerly waiting the next release. Will there be a way to export a column with taxes?

    Nate,

The next release is set to go out within the week it looks like. I’ll post a message to the zen forums when ready as well as here.

The newest version DOES include tax as an export option in addition to date range selection capability.

Will you release this soon? Sorry to be impatient, but I am planning on building my whole shipping process around the new release and don’t want to start until it is live.

    Thanks!

Yes. I will be releasing the next version within the week. I had a few setbacks on it and last minute requests from a few people that I wanted to get in it.
